1936 Ford 5 Window Hot Rod
This is another of my long term projects, which has come to a halt part way. The 36 Ford was brought as part of three models already built from EBay. These consisted of a 36 Ford convertible, a 40 Ford convertible and this one, a 36 Ford 5 window. The plan is to rebuild all of them, and this was the first model to get started on. After stripping the original paint off (Pink I'm afraid to say), the model was dismantled and cleaned up. So far, the body has had the roof smoothed off and the rear seat removed then the lid fixed closed. The body has been sprayed Metallic Black (Tamiya) and that is as far as the body has gone. The chassis was stripped down and damaged areas on the underfloor have been repaired. A decision is still needed to be made on the front and rear suspension set up before work can continue. The engine will be the original V8 that came in the model, once it has been revamped and updated.
