Jaguar E Type Lightweight
This is a new project which is going to start in the near future. After the enjoyment I had building the Jaguar Mk2, along with my love of Jaguars, I decided to build an E Type Lightweight. The model is planned to be based on one of the Briggs Cunningham Lightweights from the 1963 Le Mans race. The actual car is No.14 which was driven by Walt Hansgen and Augie Pabst, but the car only lasted 9 laps and retired with gearbox trouble. So here is a couple of photographs of the real car for a taster.
Three more Jaguar models are planned for building to join the already built Mk2 and this project. These are another E Type built as stock, a XKSS and a D Type. There are just sitting in their boxes waiting to be started.
Update 10/04/08: Initial planning work started. Awaiting to get hold of measurements to carry out the conversion work on the model.
